Ingredients of Honey Chilli Paneer

  • 250 grams paneer, cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
  • 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, cut into cubes
  • 1 small capsicum, cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornflour mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • Spring onions for garnish

How to Make Honey Chilli Paneer

  1. In a bowl, mix cornflour, all-purpose flour, and salt. Add paneer cubes and mix well.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the paneer cubes until golden brown. Remove and keep aside.
  3. In another pan, heat 1 tbsp oil and add chopped garlic, ginger, and green chillies. Saute for a few seconds.
  4. Add onion and capsicum cubes and saute for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  5. Add tomato ketchup, soy sauce, red chilli sauce, honey, and vinegar. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the cornflour-water mixture and stir well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Add the fried paneer cubes to the sauce and mix well.
  8. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.
