Ingredients of Egg Manchurian
- 6 boiled eggs
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 3-4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
- Spring onions, chopped for garnishing
How to Make Egg Manchurian
- Cut the boiled eggs into halves and keep them aside.
- In a bowl, mix cornflour, all-purpose flour, salt and red chilli powder. Add water to make a smooth batter.
- Dip the egg halves in the batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown. Keep aside.
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and add garlic and ginger. Fry for a minute until fragrant.
- Add onions and bell peppers and sauté for a few minutes until they turn soft.
- Mix soy sauce, vinegar, and tomato ketchup in a bowl and pour it over the vegetables. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the fried eggs to the pan and mix well with the sauce.
- Cook for a minute or two until the sauce thickens and coats the eggs well.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.
