Sanjeev Kapoor is an Indian celebrity chef, entrepreneur, and television personality. He is one of the most popular chefs in India and has been instrumental in popularizing Indian cuisine globally.

Kapoor was born on April 10, 1964, in Ambala, Haryana, India. He completed his education in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Mumbai. Kapoor started his career as a chef in 1984 and worked at various hotels in India and abroad.

In 1993, he started his television career with "Khana Khazana," which went on to become the longest-running cooking show in Asia. Kapoor has hosted several other cooking shows such as "MasterChef India," "Sanjeev Kapoor's Kitchen," "Turban Tadka," and "Veggie Twist."

Apart from his television career, Kapoor is also a successful entrepreneur. He has authored several cookbooks, including "Khazana of Indian Vegetarian Recipes," "How to Cook Indian," and "Low Fat Vegetarian Delights." Kapoor also owns a chain of restaurants in India and abroad, including "The Yellow Chilli," "Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor," and "Khazana."

Kapoor has received several awards and recognitions for his contribution to the food industry. He has been honored with the Padma Shri award, one of the highest civilian awards in India, and the National Award for Best Chef of India. Kapoor is also a member of the International Culinary Panel of Singapore Airlines.

Kapoor is also involved in several philanthropic activities. He is the brand ambassador for the NGO, 'Akshaya Patra Foundation,' which provides mid-day meals to children in government schools. Kapoor is also associated with 'Chennai Mission,' an organization that provides relief to the victims of natural disasters.
