Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form them into patties.
Place the patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
Toast the buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
