Ingredients of Veg Hakka Noodles

  • 200 grams of Hakka Noodles
  • 1 cup thinly sliced cabbage
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chilli sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Chopped spring onions for garnishing

How to Make Veg Hakka Noodles

  1. Boil the Hakka noodles in a large pot of salted water for 3-4 minutes or until cooked. Drain the water and rinse the noodles with cold water. Toss the noodles with a tablespoon of oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok or large pan over high heat. Add the garlic and sauté for a few seconds.
  3. Add the sliced onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they turn translucent.
  4. Add the sliced carrots, cabbage, and bell peppers and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are slightly cooked.
  5. Add the soy sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar, salt, and black pepper and mix well.
  6. Add the boiled noodles to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the noodles are coated with the sauce and the vegetables are evenly distributed.
  7. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.
