Ingredients of Submarines and Mayo

  • 1 submarine roll
  • 3-4 slices of deli meat (such as ham, turkey, or roast beef)
  • 1-2 slices of cheese (such as cheddar or Swiss)
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion (optional)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Submarines and Mayo

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Slice the submarine roll lengthwise, but not all the way through.
  3. Spread mayonnaise on both sides of the roll.
  4. Layer the deli meat and cheese on top of one side of the roll.
  5. Add lettuce, tomato, and onion (if desired) on top of the meat and cheese.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Close the sandwich by placing the other half of the roll on top of the ingredients.
  8. Wrap the sandwich in aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
  10. Remove from the oven and unwrap the sandwich.
  11. Cut into halves or thirds and serve hot.
