Ingredients of Sausage Wontons
- 500 grams of ground pork sausage
- 1/2 cup finely chopped green onions
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 package (48 counts) of wonton wrappers
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Sweet chili sauce, for serving
How to Make Sausage Wontons
- Mix the sausage, green onions, Parmesan cheese, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and egg in a large bowl until well combined.
- Lay a wonton wrapper on a flat surface and place a small spoonful of the sausage mixture in the centre of the wrapper.
- Brush the edges of the wrapper with water and fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle. Press the edges together to seal.
- Repeat with the remaining wonton wrappers and sausage mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat until it reaches 350°F.
- In batches, fry the wontons until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the wontons from the oil and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve hot with sweet chilli sauce for dipping.
