Ingredients of Paneer Paratha
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup crumbled paneer
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp minced green chili
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Water, as needed
- Oil or ghee, for cooking
How to Make Paneer Paratha
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic. Cover it and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
- In another mixing bowl, combine the crumbled paneer, grated ginger, minced green chili, cumin seeds, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
- Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Take one ball and flatten it with your palms. Dust it with flour and roll it out into a small circle.
- Place a spoonful of the paneer mixture onto the center of the rolled-out dough circle.
- Bring the edges of the circle together and pinch them to seal the paneer filling inside.
- Dust the stuffed ball with flour and gently roll it out into a paratha, about 6-7 inches in diameter.
- Heat a tawa or griddle on medium-high heat. Place the rolled-out paratha onto the hot tawa and cook until small bubbles appear on the surface.
- Flip the paratha over and apply oil or ghee on the cooked side.
- Cook for a minute or until golden brown. Flip it again and apply oil or ghee on the other side.
- Cook until both sides are golden brown and crispy.
- Repeat the same process with the remaining dough balls and paneer mixture.
- Serve hot with raita, pickle, or any chutney of your choice.
