Ingredients of Paneer Fried Rice

  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 200 grams of paneer (cottage cheese), cut into small cubes
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small capsicum, chopped
  • 1 small carrot, chopped
  • 1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp red chilli sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil

How to Make Paneer Fried Rice

  1. Heat oil in a wok or a large frying pan. Add chopped onions and green chillies and sauté for a minute.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute.
  3. Add the chopped carrots and capsicum and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they are slightly cooked but still crunchy.
  4. Add the cubed paneer and sauté for 2-3 minutes until it turns slightly golden.
  5. Add the cooked rice, soy sauce, vinegar, red chilli sauce, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix everything well.
  6. Stir-fry the rice for 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
  7. Serve hot with your choice of accompaniments like tomato ketchup, chilli sauce or cooling raita.
