Samak ki khichdi is a traditional Indian dish made with samak rice, which is also known as barnyard millet.

Ingredients of Noodle Soup

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cups egg noodles

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

How to Make Noodle Soup

  1. In a large pot, heat the chicken broth over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the shredded chicken, chopped carrots, celery, onion, garlic, thyme, and bay leaf to the pot.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to low.
  4. Let the soup simmer for about 20-25 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles in a separate pot according to the package instructions.
  6. Drain the noodles and set them aside.
  7. Remove the bay leaf from the soup and discard it.
  8. Add the cooked egg noodles to the soup and stir to combine.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Ladle the soup into bowls and top with fresh parsley if desired.
