Momos are a type of dumpling that is popular in Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, and parts of India. They are made by filling thin dough wrappers with a mixture of minced meat, vegetables, and spices, and then steaming or frying them. Momos can be served with various dipping sauces and are often enjoyed as a snack or a light meal. They have become increasingly popular in other parts of the world, and can now be found in many international food markets and restaurants.

- 1 pound ground chicken
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chilli paste (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Momos
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, water, and 1 tablespoon of oil. Knead the mixture until it forms a smooth dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- In a separate mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, ginger paste, garlic paste, onion, cilantro, soy sauce, chilli paste (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Roll out the dough into thin circles, about 3 inches in diameter.
- Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the centre of each circle. Fold the dough in half and pinch the edges together to seal.
- Repeat with the remaining dough and chicken mixture.
- Grease a steamer basket with oil and place the momos inside, making sure they don’t touch.
- Steam the momos for 8-10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Alternatively, you can heat oil in a deep fryer or frying pan and fry the momos until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce, such as soy sauce, chilli sauce, or tomato chutney.
