  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

How to Make Crispy Calamari Rings

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Whisk until well combined.
