Ingredients of Chilli Fish
- 500g fish fillets (tilapia or any firm white fish)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- Oil for frying
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Spring onions, chopped for garnish
How to Make Chilli Fish
- Cut the fish into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and black pepper.
- Coat the fish pieces with cornstarch and shake off any excess.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the fish until golden brown and crispy. Drain on a paper towel and set aside.
- In a separate pan, heat 2 tbsp oil and sauté ginger and garlic paste until fragrant.
- Add onions, bell peppers, and green chillies and stir-fry for a few minutes.
