Ingredients of Chilli Baby Corn
- 200 grams of baby corn
- 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
- 1 medium-sized capsicum (bell pepper), finely chopped
- 3-4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons of corn flour
- 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour (maida)
- 1/4 teaspoon of red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
For the Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons of tomato ketchup
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of red chilli sauce
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper powder
How to Make Chilli Baby Corn
- Wash the baby corn and cut them into small pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, add corn flour, all-purpose flour, red chilli powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add water slowly to make a thick batter.
- Dip the baby corn pieces in the batter and deep fry them until golden brown. Drain on a kitchen paper towel to remove excess oil.
- In a separate pan, heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil.
- Add chopped garlic and green chillies. Fry for a few seconds.
- Add chopped onions and fry until they turn translucent.
- Add chopped bell pepper and fry for 1-2 minutes.
- Mix all the ingredients for the sauce in a separate bowl.
- Add the sauce to the pan and cook for a minute.
- Add the fried baby corn to the pan and mix well.
