Ratan Tata is known to have a fondness for street food. In an interview, he once mentioned that he enjoys having vada pav (a popular street food in Mumbai) and that he often stops by a street vendor in the city to grab a quick bite.

In 2016, Ratan Tata invested in a food start-up called IdeaChakki, which focuses on creating healthy and nutritious snacks. Ratan Tata's investment helped the start-up to expand its operations and reach a wider audience.
Ratan Tata is also known to have a keen interest in tea, which is one of India's major exports. In 2005, he acquired a 30% stake in the Amalgamated Plantations Private Limited, a company that operates several tea gardens in India.
The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai is one of the most iconic hotels in India and is also a part of the Tata Group. Ratan Tata is known to be a regular guest at the hotel's restaurants and is said to enjoy the food served there.
